Macao Chief Executive Congratulates Elected NPC Deputies

Chief Executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Edmund Ho Hau Wah extended his congratulations to Macao's newly elected deputies to the 10th National People's Congress (NPC) on Saturday.

Chief Executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Edmund Ho Hau Wah extended his congratulations to Macao's newly elected deputies to the 10th National People's Congress (NPC) on Saturday.

"I extend my warm congratulations to the deputies and thanks for the 203 members of the election conference for their outstanding efforts," Ho said immediately after posting the name list of the 10th NPC deputies.

The chief executive expressed his belief that the NPC deputies will contribute to the prosperity of both Macao and the motherland.

The election of deputies of the Macao SAR to the 10th NPC has successfully concluded, and a total of 12 deputies have been elected in accordance with the principle of openness, fairness and impartiality, he said.

The SAR's 12 NPC deputies will represent Macao residents to join the top legislative body of the country and participate in the administration of state affairs.
