Beijing, Los Angeles Airports Enhance Cooperation

Beijing Capital Airport Group (BCAG) and Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA) have signed an agreement to expand their relationship and exchange information regarding new developments in air traffic and airport operations.

Beijing Capital Airport Group (BCAG) and Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA) have signed an agreement to expand their relationship and exchange information regarding new developments in air traffic and airport operations.

Special emphasis will be placed on the use of modern technologyto increase the efficiency of airport facilities; management structures and work procedures with respect to aircraft, passengerand cargo handling; and problems and procedures with respect to noise abatement and environmental protection.

Senior management representatives of the two airports will meetat least once a year, with the meetings to alternate between Los Angeles and Beijing.

Los Angeles World Airport is a self-supporting department within the City of Los Angeles, which owns and operates four airports including Los Angeles International (LAX) and Ontario International (ONT). LAWA's combined airports move 68.3 million passengers and 2.7 million tons of cargo annually and employ more than 410,000 people.
