Bush Greets Jiang on Reelection as Chairman of CPC Central Military Commission

United States President George W. Bush has sent a congratulatory message to Jiang Zemin on the occasion of his re-election as Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Bush said in his message that he cherishes working together with President Jiang Zemin for closer ties between the two peoples, and promoting world peace and prosperity.

He said he looked forward to further cooperation with Jiang during his tenure as Chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission.

Bush pledged that the US government will continue to commit itself to building constructive and cooperative ties with China for the common interests of the two countries.
