Earthquake Rocks Northwest China Province
An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rocked northwest China's Gansu province Saturday evening, the State Seismological Bureau announced.

An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale rocked northwest China's
Gansu
province Saturday evening, the State Seismological Bureau announced.
The quake occurred at 9:27 p.m.
Beijing
time at Yumen city, at latitude 39.8 degrees north and longitude 97.3 degrees east and a strong tremor was felt in the city.
So far no casualties had been reported and the provincial seismological bureau of Gansu had sent officials to the quake site,said a bureau statement.
