Liang Baohua Appointed as Jiangsu Acting Governor

Liang Baohua was appointed as acting governor of east China's Jiangsu Province Tuesday.

Liang Baohua was appointed as acting governor of east China's Jiangsu Province Tuesday.

The appointment was made by the 33rd Session of the Standing Committee of the Ninth Provincial People's Congress, and the meeting also accepted the resignation of Ji Yunshi as provincial governor, who will be appointed to another post by the central authorities.

Born in 1945, Liang is a native of Yichun in east China's Jiangxi Province. He graduated from the journalism department of Fudan University.

Liang is an alternate member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He was secretary of the CPC committee in Suzhou from June, 1998 to September 2000.
