Foreign Military Attache Corps Holds Banquet for Chinese Military Officers

The foreign military attache corps representing their respective embassies in Beijing held a banquet here Wednesday evening to entertain officials of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The foreign military attache corps representing their respective embassies in Beijing held a banquet here Wednesday evening to entertain officials of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

Zhan Maohai, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense addressed the banquet, expressing his hope that the friendly cooperative relations between the PLA and the armed forces of other countries will move forward in a positive manner and that friendly cooperation with military attaches in China will be strengthened in the coming new year.

He also briefed the military attaches on the activities of the PLA over the past year, including military training, ideological and political work, science, technology and industry for national defense, logistics and military exchanges with other countries.

Liang Guanglie, chief of the General Staff of the PLA, Xiong Guangkai, deputy chief of the General Staff of the PLA and other military officers were present at the banquet.
