11 Dead, 29 Still Missing in Ferry Sinking in SW China

29 people are still missing and 11 bodies have been recovered following a ship collision on the Yangtze River in southwest China's Chongqing.

29 people are still missing and 11 bodies have been recovered following a ship collision on the Yangtze River in southwest China's Chongqing.

A passenger ship and a cargo ship ran into each other near a port in Chongqing, plunging all 47 passengers, including 18 teachers and an infant, into the freezing water.

The rescue attempt began almost immediately, seven passengers have been rescued.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
