Israeli Civilian Killed in Shooting Attack

An Israeli civilian was killed Friday morning in a shooting attack near the Gush Katif bloc of settlements in the southern Gaza Strip.

An Israeli civilian was killed Friday morning in a shooting attack near the Gush Katif bloc of settlements in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local media reported that several gunmen opened fire on an Israeli vehicle travelling on the road between Gush Katif and Kfar Darom from a roadside ambush in Gaza Strip.

The gunfire critically wounded one of the passengers. When Israeli first aid workers rushed to the scene, they were unable to save the man's life.

Meanwhile, two Palestinian militants were killed during a gunfight between Israel Defense Forces troops and armed Palestiniangroups on Friday morning.

An Israel army source said Israeli troops arrested 10 Palestinians in the West Bank, among them several are on Israel's wanted list.
