Explosions in Afghanistan's Two Provinces Kill Five
A landmine explosion in north Afghanistan killed three persons and injured two seriously Sunday,local news reports said.

killed three persons and injured two seriously Sunday, local news reports said.
The explosion occurred on a road in Samangan province, about 200 kilometers north of Kabul, when a car with five passengers touched a landmine, according to Afghan state news agency BIA.
On the same day, two Afghan soldiers were killed and three others injured in a pickup bomb explosion in Kandahar of south Afghanistan, it said.
It was reported that a bomb was planted earlier inside the military pickup and exploded when the vehicle was on the road from Kandahar to Spine Buldak, a nearby city.
In addition, reports from east Afghanistan said that three explosions took place Saturday night in Jalalabad city of Nanghar province, causing no casualties. One of the explosions occurred in front of a NGO office.
However, all foreign organizations in Jalalabad have closed their offices in Jalalabad and moved their staff out of the city, it was reported.
