The future of any company depends on the talent and expertise of the people that it employs, therefore Rolls-Royce places a high degree of importance on people development and is committed to supporting the work of China's aviation industry, said Rod Williams, president of Rolls-Royce China.

So far, Rolls-Royce had helped with the technical and managerial training of over 5,000 Chinese people, said Williams.

BUAA is China's leading university specializing in producing graduates in aviation fields. The BUAA Scholarship Award was launched in 1998.

Over the past three decades, Rolls-Royce has not only provided aviation equipment to the country but has also helped train personnel for China's aviation industry. Rolls-Royce spent 500,000US dollars on the training program with the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China. So far, some 5,000 representatives from China's airports, airlines and civil aviation administration have taken part in the training program.
