The China International Travel Service (CITS) is promoting its "Total Travel" brand to better cater to the increasing numbers of outbound Chinese travelers.

The brand belonging to the country's biggest tourism enterprise, aims to provide good quality service, including flights, hotels, restaurants and guides.

"Total Travel" offers different itineraries according to customers' needs and a range of travel charges depending on the season.

Although China's outbound tourism industry has been developing for 10 years, its travel agencies still lag behind international standards.

In September, China released 528 names of authorized travel agencies which can organize trips for outbound travelers. Foreign tourism companies can also enter China according to the country's commitments for entering the World Trade Organization. How to find a suitable means for future growth is a challenge most domestic travel agencies face.

The CITS set up its Chinese citizen division in August, covering outbound tourism and advice for people working and studying overseas.

Some 12.28 million Chinese people traveled overseas in the first nine months of this year, up 38.41 percent from a year earlier, according to the latest statistics.
