Zhou Xiaochuan Appointed Governor of China's Central Bank

Zhou Xiaochuan, former chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, was appointed as the governor of the People's Bank of China (PBC) by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, in Beijing Saturday.

Zhou Xiaochuan, former chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, was appointed as the governor of the People's Bank of China (PBC) by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, here Saturday.

The 54-year-old new governor of the central bank in China was appointed to replace Dai Xianglong, former PBC governor, who has been appointed a new position in Tianjin Municipality.
