Pakistani PM wins 188 votes of confidence

Pakistani Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali won the vote of confidence in the special session of the National Assembly in Islamabad on Monday afternoon.

Pakistani Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali won the vote of confidence in the special session of the National Assembly in Islamabad on Monday afternoon.

Jamali won 188 votes in the 342-seat National Assembly or lower house of parliament that assured the survival of his coalition government.

The Prime Minister at the time of election to the premiership on Nov. 21 achieved 172 votes and the vote of confidence has increased by 16 votes.
