Road Accident Leaves 6 Dead, 13 Injured
Six people were killed and another 13 injured in a highway accident Friday morning in Lianzhou City, in Guangdong Province of south China.

Province of south China.
A Mitsubishi jeep bumped into a mini-bus carrying 21 people at the Liangjiang Bridge in downtown Lianzhou City, causing the bus to plunge seven meters into the river after having cut a 10-meter-wide opening in the bridge railing, said Huang Gaozheng, a member of the city's joint security patrol team, who witnessed the disaster.
Local police quickly rushed to the scene of the accident. The injured, who were rescued from the river by the police and nearby villagers, are now hospitalized.
The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
