The US troops might use some of its newly-developed weapon systems for the first time in their possible attack against Iraq, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday.

"The US army will take advantage of 'microwise bombs' that can generate magnetic waves in its future attack against Iraq," IRNA quoted the Saudi Arabia-based Voice of Iraq Radio as saying.

The radio said "the 'microwise bombs' belong to a new generation of weapon and can make useless all electronic devises, including radars, within a very wide range."

"The US Air Force will also use BC-2 bombs against Iraqi tanks. The bombs can act like cluster bombs and each loaded with 40 small missiles can hit targets in all directions," it added.

According to the report, the BC-2 bombs can totally destroy objects within an area of 120 square meter circle and kill three out of every ten soldiers within that range.

Other bombs to be used in the US attack against Iraq include the G48s and small-size nuclear bombs in order to penetrate into the underground facilities of the Iraqi army.

The latter two types weigh 15 tons each and can dig into the ground six and ten meters respectively. They can create heavy and horrendous tremors that can destroy buildings within a wide range.
