PNA Condemns Israeli Attempts to Dismantle PCC Meeting

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) condemned on Wednesday the Israeli government decision to disturb the meeting of the highest Palestinian Central Council (PCC) in Ramallah on Thursday.

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) condemned on Wednesday the Israeli government decision to disturb the meeting of the highest Palestinian Central Council (PCC) in Ramallah on Thursday.

The PCC meeting is scheduled to discuss the formed draft of the first ever Palestinian manifest or constitution prepared for the independent Palestinian state and a new initiative to make a breakthrough in the peace process.

The Palestinian leadership convened an emergency meeting in Ramallah, which was chaired by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

A statement said "the meeting was made to study how to remove the Israeli obstacles for convening the PCC meeting on Thursday."

Meanwhile, the statement also noted that the Palestinian leadership is still very much interested to go to London to meet with British Prime Minister Tony Blare and called upon Israel to left the ban of the Palestinian delegation to leave to London.

"We call upon the Israeli government to end as soon as possible to end all its new security measures imposed on the Palestinian territories and stop the collective punishment of the Palestinian people," the statement stressed.
