The charge followed overnight operations by Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, where it killed four Palestinians, wounded 16 others and destroyed over than 30 stores, workshops and houses.
"This escalation carried out by the government of Ariel Sharon is aimed at escaping from the scandals of corruption and bribery" pending Israel's Jan. 28 election, Abu Rudeineh told reporters in Ramallah.
He blasted the Israeli government for continuing "crimes and military escalation" and implementing "all its military plans prepared to kill more Palestinians and destroy more and more houses."
"We call again upon the international community to move as quickly as possible to end this policy against a defenseless peoplethat would of course have a negative reflection on the whole region," said Abu Rudeineh.
