Chinese Dies of Wounds in Tel Aviv Bombing Attack

A woman cooker from China died Monday morning of wounds she suffered in the double suicide bombing attack at the old central bus station in south Tel Aviv on Jan. 5, a source in Tel Aviv's Sheba Medical center said.

A woman cooker from China died Monday morning of wounds she suffered in the double suicide bombing attack at the old central bus station in south Tel Aviv on Jan. 5, a source in Tel Aviv's Sheba Medical center said.

According to the Chinese Embassy to Israel, the woman, Zhang Minmin, 50, was from east China's Zhejiang province. Her death raises the death toll from the attack to 23.

Zhang is the third Chinese being killed in the Jan. 5 suicide bombing attack, the other two are Li Peizhong and Guo Aiping, respectively from China's Shandong and Fujian Provinces.

Last year, four Chinese workers had been killed and a dozen of others had been wounded during two suicide bombing attacks in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

The Jan. 5 bombing took place in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood of Tel Aviv, an area populated by many foreign workers. A Bulgarian, two Romanians and a Ghanaian citizen were also killed inthe attack.
