Highway Accident Leaves 11 Dead, 17 Injured
A major highway accident left 11 people dead and another 17 injured on Monday in northwest China's Shaanxi province.

A major highway accident left 11 people dead and another 17 injured on Monday in northwest China's
Shaanxi
province.
The accident occurred around 2:40 pm on Jan. 13 when a bus with28 passengers aboard heading for Nanhegou from Yanchang, a county east of Yan'an city in northern Shaanxi, was traveling on the section of highway between Wangjiayuan and Licun village, according to local sources.
Nine people on the bus were killed instantly, another one died on the way to a local hospital, and one more died of serious injuries at the hospital.
Of the 17 injured, one person was undergoing emergency treatment at the hospital and the rest were said to be out of danger, said the local sources.
No more details of the accident were available. Its cause is under urgent investigation.
