The platform measures 64.44 meters long, 42.67 meters wide and 17.24 meters high above water. Weighing 6,280 tons, it is capable of producing one million tons of crude oil per year.

The construction of the platform indicates China is on a par with its overseas competitors, a spokesman for the oilfield said.

The platform has been shipped to an offshore oil-drilling place of the Dagang Oilfield for installation.
