Chinese wishing to work abroad now can refer to an officially-printed booklet for advice and information, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced Monday.

The free-of-charge "guidance for Chinese working abroad" booklet, edited and issued by MOFTEC, will inform readers about overseas job information sources and labor contract knowledge as well as legal channels and fees concerning working aboard.

By helping people know basic knowledge on work abroad, relevant governmental policies and their obligations and rights, the booklet helps Chinese workers abroad to better protect themselves, said a MOFTEC official.
