AAPP Executive Council Meeting to be Held in Beijing

The Executive Council Meeting of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) is to be held in Beijing on January 24 and 25.

The Executive Council Meeting of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) is to be held in Beijing on January 24 and 25.

Parliamentary representatives from 30 AAPP member countries are expected to attend the meeting, the General Office of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress said here Thursday.

The AAPP was established in September 1999 in Dacca, capital of Bangladesh.

At the upcoming AAPP Executive Council meeting, the lawmakers will discuss the arrangements for the fourth annual AAPP meeting to be held in the Philippines.

Participants will also discuss the issues of enhancing exchanges of experience in legislating and regional cooperation.

The association, which has 37 member states, has held three annual meetings respectively in Bangladesh, Cambodia and China.
