Traffic Accident Kills at Least 70 in Cameroon

At least 70 people were killed in a head-on collision of two buses at Ebomey, about 90 km east of the main port city of Douala, Cameroon, on Sunday, local press reported.

At least 70 people were killed in a head-on collision of two buses at Ebomey, about 90 km east of the main port city of Douala, Cameroon, on Sunday, local press reported.

Dozens of other people were injured in a third bus behind them.

The country's worst known road accident happened when a bus, traveling on the highway leading to capital Yaounde, attempted to overtake a timber lorry. It collided into another bus in the coming direction.
