Four Policemen Fired for Gambling in E. China Province

Four policemen caught gambling at their office during working hours, have been dismissed from their posts by the Public Security Bureau of Nanchang City, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.

Four policemen caught gambling at their office during working hours, have been dismissed from their posts by the Public Security Bureau of Nanchang City, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.

Liu Shengsheng, Jiang Huiyuan, An Gang and Peng Jianjun all served at the Qingyunpu sub-station of the Nanchang City Public Security Bureau before they were fired.

They were caught playing cards for money at their office on February 20 by a joint inspection team of officials from the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Bureau and Nanchang City PublicSecurity Bureau.

The Nanchang Public Security Bureau decided to fire the four that same evening.

Officials in charge at the Qingyunpu sub-station and the Nanchang bureau were given disciplinary penalties.

On January 22, China's Ministry of Public Security issued decrees prohibiting public security officers and men from violating regulations on the management and use of firearms, drinking liquor while armed, driving motor vehicles after drinkingliquor, drinking liquor during working hours and gambling.
