Zhejiang of China, Singapore to Enhance Cooperation

The "Zhejiang Week" and Zhejiang Center Preparatory Office of China were launched Monday in Hangzhou.

The "Zhejiang Week" and Zhejiang Center Preparatory Office of China were launched Monday.

The "Zhejiang Week" will see a broad exchange between participants from industry and business circles and government departments of both Singapore and Zhejiang province.

This is a step to implement the four-point common consensus reached last April between Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao and Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong on ways to further Sino-Singapore relations, according to Singaporean officials.

Singapore has been an important investment and trade partner ofZhejiang with the bilateral trade volume exceeding 500 million US dollars in 2002.

It has established 500 enterprises in Zhejiang with the contracted investments reaching 1.1 billion US dollars.
