CCTV English Channel Landing in United States

CCTV-9, the English channel of China Central Television, can now be viewed in 30 top-class hotels in 10 major cities in the United States, according to China's television administration on Wednesday.

CCTV-9, the English channel of China Central Television, can now be viewed in 30 top-class hotels in 10 major cities in the United States, according to China's television administration on Wednesday.

Sources with the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television said that the 10 cities include Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta.

The sources noted that it would beef up overseas promotions of CCTV programs aimed at "making the voice of China heard all over the world".

The administration said that the US firm, Viacom, assisted in promoting CCTV programs in the United States.
