Chinese national badminton head coach Li Yongbo said that the International Badminton Federation'sdecision to postpone the world championships is "understandable" and he had already predicted such a move.

"While training hard, out team has also been prepared not to travel to England for the championships," said Li.

He said the IBF was too hesitant in making a final decision. "England may not want to put off the event, but most of the participating nations do not want to take a risk under such circumstances," Li told the Chinese newspaper Beijing Youth Daily on Monday.

The head coach added that the Chinese squad will extend their stay in a camp in Jiniang in southeastern China's Fujian Province, for further training sessions.
