Two Chinese teenage players are making trials at the Dutch first division side Feyenoord Rotterdam but will face uphill tasks of winning the club's heart, reports said Friday.

Mao Jianqing and Li Chunyu, both of Chinese under-17 national team, arrived at the club earlier this week and are making trials for two weeks, the Sports Weekly said.

Mao and Li are the second and third Chinese player making trials in Feyenoord after Chinese international Qu Bo, whose talkswith the Dutch club turned out fruitless for unknown causes.

Qu was just one step away from joining English premier league side Tottenham Hotspurs last summer but was denied a work permit by the British Home Office.

But a club official played down Mao and Li's chance of joining the Dutch club.

"They are uneligible to enter the world transfer market because they are still less than 18 years old," the official was quoted assaying.
