Senior HK Policeman Dies in Flooding Accident
A senior Hong Kong policeman was killed in a flooding accident in New Territory on Monday morning while performing duty, the Hong Kong police said.

policeman was killed in a flooding accident in New Territory on Monday morning while performing duty, the Hong Kong police said.
Police Senior Inspector Leung Bo-ming, 47, was washed away by the flood on Monday morning when he and his colleague were investigating whether there was any person endangered by the heavy flooding.
His colleague, a 27-year-old police constable, was injured slightly and sent to North District Hospital for medical treatment.
A joint search and rescue operation by police, the Fire Services Department and Government Flying Services located Leung in a nearby banana forest at about 2:30 p.m.
He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 2:46 p.m.
HK Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa praised Leung's bravery and selfless devotion, saying "He is worthy of our highest respect."
