Putin Meets with WWII Veterans

Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Wednesday with World War II veterans in Alexander's garden near the Kremlin. His appearance was met with a storm of greetings from veterans, each of them wanted to talk with the head of state and take photographs. Putin shook hands and willingly answered questions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Wednesday with World War II veterans in Alexander's garden near the Kremlin. His appearance was met with a storm of greetings from veterans, each of them wanted to talk with the head of state and take photographs. Putin shook hands and willingly answered questions.

Field kitchens were opened in Alexander's garden, tables with rye bread, pickled cucumbers and traditional Russian vodka were laid. The president drank some vodka with veterans, greeted them on the approaching Victory Day (May 9)and wished them health and happiness.

Alexander's garden gathered the veterans invited to the Kremlin gala to honour the Victory Day.
