Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) said Wednesday there was not a single SARS case nor a suspected patient reported in the DPRK.

The South Korean English paper Korea Times recently carried a false report that there are SARS-suspected patients in the DPRK. The DPRK is taking every possible measure to prevent SARS, a lethal disease.

The State Emergency Prevention Committee of the DPRK clearly declared that there was not a single SARS case nor a suspected patient reported in the DPRK.

Lurking behind the false report is a sinister intention to tarnish the image of the DPRK which has the best health care system for people.

Those who try to distort the truth will be made to bear responsibility.
