China Offers Sympathy to Bangladeshi Tornado Victims

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao expressed on Friday his sympathy with Bangladesh where a strong tornado left at least 50 people dead and 500 injured on Monday in the eastern part of the country.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao expressed on Friday his sympathy with Bangladesh where a strong tornado left at least 50 people dead and 500 injured on Monday in the eastern part of the country.

In a message to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, Wen said that on behalf of the Chinese government and in his name, he expressed sympathy with the Bangladeshis in the disaster area who suffered human and property losses in the tornado.

Wen also expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Bangladeshi government, the Bangladeshi people will soon overcome the difficulties caused by the disaster and rebuild their homes.
