WHO Reiterates Taiwan Issue not to be Listed in Meeting Agenda

The World Health Organization reiterates the Taiwan issue will not be listed in the agenda of the next WHO general meeting in Geneva.

The World Health Organization reiterates the Taiwan issue will not be listed in the agenda of the next WHO general meeting in Geneva.

A WHO spokesman said the executive committee has refused Taiwan's request that it attend the meeting as an observer.

The spokesman added the WHO is keeping a close watch on the development of SARS in Taiwan, and has sent out experts to help with the prevention and treatment of the disease.
