Chinese President Sends Condolences to Saudi King over Suicide Bombings

Chinese President Hu Jintao sent condolences on Wednesday to Saudi King Fahd Ibn Abdul-Aziz over suicide bombings in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, which killed and injured many innocent people on Monday night.

In the message, Hu expressed, to the Saudi King, the Saudi government and people, the Chinese government and people's indignation and condemnation at the terrorist acts, and extended sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims of the bombings.

Hu stressed that the Chinese government firmly supports the efforts by Saudi Arabia and the international community to fight terrorism.

China Strongly Condemns Terrorist Bombing in Saudi Arabia

China strongly condemned Monday's terrorist bombing in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue in Beijing Wednesday.

In response to a question, Zhang said China expressed condolences to the innocent victims and offered sympathy to their families.

Terrorism is the public enemy of all people in the world, Zhangsaid. China has always firmly opposed terrorism in any form and supported the efforts made by the international community, including Saudi Arabia, to fight against terrorist activities, she said.
