Chinese. S. Koreans Atop Summit of Mt. Qomolangma from North Side

A second group with five climbers of a Sino-S. Korean mountaineering expedition reached the 8,848-meter summit of the world's highest peak Mount Qomolangma at 8:10 hours (Beijing time) early Thursday.

A second group with five climbers of a Sino-S. Korean mountaineering expedition reached the 8,848-meter summit of the world's highest peak Mount Qomolangma at 8:10 hours (Beijing time) early Thursday.

The group consisted of two Chinese climbers -- Jiala and Pingcuo, both from southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, and three South Koreans -- Koo Eun Soo, Park Jong Kwan and Ko Yong Joon.

At 14:53 hours on Wednesday, the team's six-member first group reached the summit. The climbers were Chinese Qimi, Pubu Zuoga and Cangmula, all from Tibet region, and South Korean members Um Hong Gil, Ra Kwan Ju and Park Joo Hoon.

Both groups took the north slope route.
