Rumsfeld Involved in Minor Car Crash
US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was involved in a minor car crash here Tuesday as his motorcade was on the way to the Andrews Air Force Base in Marylandfrom the Pentagon, but he was not injured, defense officials said.

An Isuzu SUV ran into a highway barricade, veered back into traffic, striking another vehicle, and then hit Rumsfeld's LincolnNavigator head-on, the officials said
Rumsfeld was shaken up but not wounded, according to his security guards. It was not known what caused the SUV to hit the barricade.
By the time emergency vehicles arrived at the scene, Rumsfeld took another car in his motorcade which drove on to the air force base, fire officials said.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to two hospitals in Washington.
Washington police are investigating the incident.
Rumsfeld was heading to New York City for a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations. He arrived in the city on time.
