Chinese Farmers Save 13 Koreans in River Accident

The police department of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has thanked two Chinese farmers who rescued 13 DPRK citizens on the Yalu River in April.

The police department of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has thanked two Chinese farmers who rescued 13 DPRK citizens on the Yalu River in April.

On April 15, at 15:30 pm, a small wooden boat with 13 DPRK people aboard, including six young students, capsized on the Sino-DPRK border river due to heavy winds.

Two Chinese farmers, Xu Peiquan and Sun Youjie, living in the Jiangkou Village, Ji'an City, rushed to the site in their fishing boats, and after more than an hour of hard work, rescued all 13 people.

In their message, the DPRK police thanked the Chinese villagersfor their brave actions.
