East China Province Planning Industrial Fair via Internet

Eastern China's Zhejiang Province plans to hold a one-month industrial fair via Internet from June 15 to July 15, according to the province's trade and economic commission.

Eastern China's Zhejiang Province plans to hold a one-month industrial fair via Internet from June 15 to July 15, according to the province's trade and economic commission.

As of June 6, over 2,000 enterprises in the province had registered to display their products. About 3,000 enterprises are expected to participate in the fair.

China-chemicals.com has been authorized to preside over the fair while Zhejiang Marketing Association has registered four domain names, including fair.zj.com and zj.market.cn, which lays agood foundation for making the fair a permanent fixture in the future.

China-chemicals.com has also reached an agreement with ZhejiangTrade and Economic Commission that exhibition expenses will be free for those who take part in the fair.

Affected by the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak, the traditional trade fair was considered unsafe.

At the same time, an open-door commerce network for investment and cooperation, featuring face-to-face negotiating and trading on-line, has become more popular.
