Israeli Army Arrests Islamic Jihad Leader in Jenin

The Israeli army arrested a prominent Islamic Jihad (Holy War) militant in the northern West Bank town of Jenin during an overnight military operation, Palestinian sources said on Sunday.

The Israeli army arrested a prominent Islamic Jihad (Holy War) militant in the northern West Bank town of Jenin during an overnight military operation, Palestinian sources said on Sunday.

The sources said the Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and the nearby Araba town, and carried out a house-to-house search for wanted Palestinian militants.

Ahmad Dheibi, 21, was captured.

Representative of the militant group in Jenin, Bassam Al-Sa'adi,said the Israeli army had been looking for Dheibi for a long time, and tried many assassination attempts on him but all failed.

Al-Sa'adi said his movement will continue resistance despite Israel's targeted killings and arrests.
