Promotion of trade and international peace will dominate the talks between Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnaputri this week, Foreign Minister M. Morshed Khan said Monday.

"Both sides are expected to explore new avenues to further promote trade and commerce between the two countries to their mutual benefit," Morshed Khan said.

Talking to reporters, the foreign minister said President Megawati will arrive here on June 18 for a three-day state visit to Bangladesh and will leave Dhaka on June 20 for Mongolia.

She will be accompanied by her spouse Taufiq Kiemmas and one daughter. Her entourage will include six ministers and a delegation of about 100 leading Indonesian businessmen.

Late President of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman visited Indonesia in 1978, which was followed by President Suharto's return visit in 1982.

Megawati came to Dhaka in 2001 as the vice president of her country.
