China's Silicon Valley Builds Helidrome for Business Purposes

Jun 19 saw the setting-off for a base construction of Zhongguancun Science Fengtai Park, which is ready to take in only headquarters of large enterprises from around the world. Started at the same time is the construction of a helidrome for business purposes. As learned, the land coverage for the construction of the helidrome together with the first phase of the headquarter-bases comes to an area of 200,000 square meters.

At present, many internationally renowned enterprises all hope that the park can provide them with an area for the parking of a private airplane said Wang Hong, Director of the management committee of the Zhongguancun Science Fengtai Park. The helidrome about to be constructed in the Fengtai Park as from today will be available only for a small helicopter. However, this can be further improved later on.

The construction of the Zhongguancun Science Fengtai Park as set off today takes in only those headquarters of large enterprises and up to now we've already seen 15 well-known enterprise headquarters signed the agreement for their settlements in the park. When the park is brought to completion it is available for 5000 enterprises to settle in as reckoned. The park will provide all settlers with office buildings having their own entrances and courtyards and enterprises can enjoy the right for being preceded with their own names.

The construction area as set off today for the first phase of the project covers a ground space of some 200,000 square meters and by the end of December there will be another 83 blocks of buildings for private use to be completed. The Fengtai science base construction is expected to be brought to completion within 3 - 5 years with a total investment amounting to RMB 4.5 billion yuan.
