China Lifts Warning on Fishing in Gulf Region

China has lifted a warning against fishing in the Persian Gulf and Oman Gulf areas, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced Thursday.

China has lifted a warning against fishing in the Persian Gulf and Oman Gulf areas, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced Thursday.

The decision was made by a coordinating group composed of relevant departments of the MOC, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Communication.

The coordinating group issued the warning on Feb. 18, 2003, 30 days before the outbreak of the war against Iraq.
