Delphi to Produce Fuel Injectors in Shanghai

The world's biggest automotive component supplier Delphi Corporation has announced a 12 million US dollar plan to produce Multec 3 gasoline fuel injectors in Shanghai.

The world's biggest automotive component supplier Delphi Corporation has announced a 12 million US dollar plan to produce Multec 3 gasoline fuel injectors in Shanghai.

William Pfarrer, general manager of Delphi Shanghai Dynamic and Propulsion Systems Co, said five production lines would be installed in its Shanghai workshops, which cover 1,100 square meters. in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in Pudong District, Shanghai.

The production lines are scheduled for trial operation in September.

Delphi began to market the product last year in the United States and Europe.

After entering the Chinese market in 1993, Delphi has set up 12 plants on the Chinese mainland involving a combined investment of 400 million US dollars.

The company recorded 700 million US dollars in sales in 2002.
