Chinese international Qu Bo will make trials again with English premier league side Tottenham Hotspur late in July after a failed attempt to join the north London club last year.

The 22-year-old striker, who plays with Chinese first division club Qingdao, has been invited to join the Spurs in a Spanish training camp but was forced to cancel the trip with a foot injury.

"I have got the visa to England and will join the squad in London three weeks later when they return to White Hart Lane," Qu said.

The pacy striker won Spurs manager Glenn Hoddle's heart last year in a trial and the former England boss offered him a one year deal on loan. But the British Home Office denied him a work permit complaining that he had not played enough international matches.

After playing in the World Cup for China last summer, Qu is believed not to be denied this time for the same reasons.
