Five delegates accompanied by 27 supporting personnel from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) arrived at Incheon International Airport in South Korea Wednesday afternoon for a four-day inter-Korean ministerial meeting to be held in Seoul.

Kim Ryong Song, a Cabinet councilor of DPRK, led the 32-member DPRK delegation to the 11th Inter-Korean Ministerial Meeting slated from Wednesday to Saturday to be held in Shilla Hotel in downtown Seoul.

The South Korean representatives, led by Unification Minister Jeong Seong-hyun, were reportedly to stress the importance of maintaining stable Seoul-Pyongyang ties to help resolve the DPRK nuclear issue peacefully.

The two sides are also expected to discuss the progress of inter-Korean economic cooperation projects including the reconnection of two cross-border railways and the establishment of an industrial park in Kaesong, a DPRK city located just north of the demilitarized zone.

As a symbol of reconciliation, the two countries last month symbolically re-linked two railways across their heavily armed border and started construction for an industrial park near the DPRK's border town of Kaesong.

The two sides are expected to issue a joint press statement about their dialogues before the DPRK representatives return to Pyongyang via Beijing by air Saturday.
