PLA Chief of General Staff Holds Talks with Guinean Counterpart

Liang Guanglie, chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), held talks here Monday with Kerfalla Camara, chief of the general staff of the Guinean armed forces.

Liang Guanglie, chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), held talks here Monday with Kerfalla Camara, chief of the general staff of the Guinean armed forces.

Liang said the friendly and cooperative relations between Chinaand Guinea have enjoyed steady development since their establishment of diplomatic ties 44 years ago.

The Chinese armed forces value the relations with Guinean armedforces and are ready to promote the cooperation between the two sides in various fields, he said.

Liang said the Chinese armed forces will enhance its military reform with Chinese characteristics and achieve modernization in light of the experience of new military reform around the world.

Camara said the friendship between Guinea and China has withstood the test of history and the Guinean people are grateful to their Chinese friends for the long-term support and assistance.

Camara said he is willing to contribute to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two armed forces.
