China Calls for Calm on Korean Nuclear Issue

In response to the report that Pyongyang had reprocessed all its spent nuclear fuel rods, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said yesterday China hopes all parties will stay calm, exercise restraint and avoid escalating the situation.

China hopes they can resolve their concerns through dialogue and negotiation, the spokesman said.
