Mud-rock Flows Killed Six in Southwest China

Six people were killed and four others left missing in mud-rock flows in Wangcang County of Guangyuan City in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the city government said Tuesday night.

Six people were killed and four others left missing in mud-rock flows in Wangcang County of Guangyuan City in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the city government said Tuesday night.

Rainstorms since Monday has caused flood and mud-rock flows in the mountainous county, an official said, adding they are checkingother details of the disaster.

More than 1,000 armed police and civilians have rushed to the site for rescue work, along with government officials.
