Chinese Mainland Reports no New SARS Cases

The Chinese Ministry of Health Wednesday reported no new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)cases nor new deaths from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. July 15 to 10:00 a.m. July 16.

The Chinese Ministry of Health Wednesday reported no new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)cases nor new deaths from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. July 15 to 10:00 a.m. July 16.

During the 24 hours, the Chinese mainland reported no new suspected SARS cases, either. A SARS patient who had recovered wasdischarged from hospital in Beijing.

As of 10:00 a.m. July 16, the number of SARS patients hospitalized on the Chinese mainland dropped to 14, all of them inBeijing.
