Senior CPC Official Meets Australian Attorney-general

Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met here Tuesday afternoon with Australian Attorney-General Daryl Williams.

Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met here Tuesday afternoon with Australian Attorney-General Daryl Williams.

Wu, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for DisciplineInspection, and Williams exchanged views on such issues as bilateral relations, anti-corruption and Sino-Australian legal exchanges and cooperation.

Wu said that further strengthening bilateral legal and judicialexchanges and cooperation will promote economic and social development.

Wu also noted that the CPC has spared no efforts to promote thebuilding of a clean and honest government, and any corruption willpunished in accordance with the law.

Williams is here as guest of the Chinese Ministry of Justice.
